Privacy Policy.

This page covers Miles and the five tools on it — Flip, Keystream, Peek, Glyph and Plot. The short version: these tools run entirely inside your browser, and there is no server to send anything to.

What is collected

Nothing. There are no accounts, no sign-up, no analytics, no advertising trackers and no cookies. No personal information is requested, transmitted or stored.

Files you open

When you drop a file or folder into Peek, it is read and displayed by your own browser. It is never uploaded, copied or transmitted anywhere. The same applies to anything you type or paste into Glyph, Keystream or Plot — spreadsheet data pasted into Plot is drawn locally by your browser and is not sent anywhere. Close the tab and it is gone.

What is kept on your device

Some small preferences are saved locally so the tools behave sensibly between visits. These stay in your browser's own storage and are never sent anywhere:

• Whether you have accepted this notice, in sessionStorage, which clears when you close the tab
• Your chosen colours and settings for individual tools, in localStorage

Clearing your browser's site data removes all of it.

Offline use

If you add this page to your home screen or dock, your browser stores a copy of the page and its icons so it keeps working without a connection. This is a local cache and contains nothing about you.

Payments

The "Buy me a coffee" button opens a checkout page hosted by Stripe. Payment details are entered on Stripe's own page and handled entirely by Stripe — they are never seen by, or passed through, this site. If you choose to pay, that transaction is governed by Stripe's privacy policy. Nobody is asked or required to pay to use any of these tools.

Third parties

No third-party scripts, analytics or embeds are loaded, and no data you enter is ever transmitted. There is one exception, and it is only about fonts: Plot fetches the Inter typeface from Google Fonts and the DejaVu Sans typeface from jsDelivr so that its charts match the ones matplotlib produces. Those requests ask for font files only — they carry no information about you or your data beyond the fact that a browser requested a font, which necessarily includes your IP address. Everything else is drawn on your own device.

Children

These tools are suitable for all ages. Since no information is collected from anyone, none is collected from children either.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
